Considering we only had approx. 3 volunteers for community watch there isn't any patrol. The police recommened a minimum of 12 people would be needed to have an adequate community watch. If you would like to volunteer to be the organizer and get the patrol up and running please attend the next civic association meeting which happens to be this Tuesday (26th) @ 7PM at the Brandywine School Distric Administration building (right here in the community so you don't have to travel far). Maybe you forgot that the civic association (and the community watch if there was one) is made up of VOLUNTEERS from YOUR neighborhood. If you don't like the way something is being done come to a meeting and GET INVOLVED rather than criticizing what "others" are doing (or are not doing). I'm sure there will be a reason why you only have time to criticize but not enough time to help. where is the community watch patrol? my guess is they are home in bed when the criminals are wondering about the neighborhood.

I would say "just asking" would be phrased something like this: "I see there has been an increase in crime in Radnor Green. What is the status of the community watch patrol?". Instead it was phrased like this: " where is the community watch patrol? my guess is they are home in bed when the criminals are wondering about the neighborhood." I'm assuming your accusation is because we VOLUNTEERED to try and form a community watch group we should never sleep or be home with our families. You have to admit you were try to be sarcastic. I noticed you didn't mention if YOU would be able to volunteer or help with the community watch so i'll assume that you are just going to criticize and not offer to help. We have a community that covers 530 houses. At each meeting we have approx. 6 residents who attend (4 officers and 2 board members). These 6 people are the only ones who do the community cleanup, mail out the dues, send out the newsletters, pay the electric bills for the streetlights, arrange for snow plowing, etc. We are also the only 6 who get criticized when someone has 5 minutes of spare time and wants to complain that something wasn't done. If more people would get involved they would understand what a thank-less job being on the civic assocation is. We simply volunteered to try and help out the best we could in addition to our regular jobs, family commitments, etc. I'm really sorry if you think we aren't doing enough for our "pay". When the people who are currently on the board all quit because they get tired of hearing all the criticism from people who want to complain but never "have the time" to help you may understand how good you actually have it.
