Commissioner Sikes?  This neighborhoodlink.com/Bellemeade homepage lists Willman, Blain, Wright and Hill as Commissioners. 

That post was dated at a time when Judi Sikes was a commissioner.

We have not sent out a vilolation letter since she left office. It is my police to talk politly to offenders first because they often do not know they are in violation of a law. I like to give them a chance to correct the situtation with out having to be threatened. 

Threatened?  That is a harsh dictatorial word. 

If the law is a Metro ordinance, why is the enforcement being done by Bellemeade sending violation letters in the first place?

It is harsh but that is what people felt when they received the letters.

Enforcement is only done by Metro. The letter was a threat to call in Metro who would respond to a city government request for a citation. 

The desire of the letters was to keep Bellemeade beautiful [read that protect property values] and not have the community look like a series of used car lots.The city has not sent out a violation letter since I became mayor.
