Rego Park Group Buddy Program!

Meet your neighbors!

Some people are new to this group, have just moved to Rego Park, or both.
Some of you know me, and have met other members, but others don't
know anyone in the group, or in the neighborhood!

Which makes it hard to even meet, if you don't know anyone!
There is the fear of meeting people from the internet...
Meeting strangers in general...
Going to a corner or to a park to meet someone and you have no idea
what they look like LOL.
Even going into a organized community meeting in a conference room
can be uncomfortable when you don't know anyone!
It can be a cold, unfriendly world out there, and it's nice to know
your neighbors! Like I said on my message about the benefits of the
group.. it's nice to even walk down the street, and have someone say
Hi to you and know your name!

So here is what I would like to do.
I already know a few of you here... but not all of you.
(Feel free to say something good about the people here!)
As the founder of the Rego Park Group.. if there is anyone in this
group that you should trust.. it should be me :)
Besides that, I'm 4'10 and wouldn't hurt a fly!

The goal is to make sure everyone in the group knows at least 1
person, as close as possible to where you live.

For instance if I find out that another member lives in your
building.. I can connect you both. Then if we have a gathering or
event or there is something going on in the community, maybe it is
something you both can do together or come together and find me etc.

Or if the person is new to the area I can send them to u for
friendship, or someone to show you around.. or just so you can meet.

This way someone can always find someone, in case nobody knows
anyone else and also some of the anonymity of the internet is taken
away for safety purposes.

I can organize that... but I need you to JOIN this neighborhoodlink Rego Park site. Register and "Become a member". It will email me (only me!) your address and telephone #. If you have a cellphone, put that in.
Fill everything out.

If you have any preferences, like being matched with the opposite
sex, LOL, let me know.. age range, with kids, etc. I'll do my best.
I can't guarantee how this will work but until my dream comes true
and I open a community center... or move out of Rego Park...
