Look out, the ugly blue barn is about to get a facelift?…and that?’s just the start of it. The property, long an eyesore on West Blvd., is now under new ownership. Dan Hall, now a member of the Reid Park Community Association, has serious plans for the new Laundromat. ?“Residents of Reid Park have been without a convenient place to do their laundry for too long and we?’re about to change that.?” Within the next month residents will see changes beginning with a new exterior and roof in brighter and more attractive colors. The entrance will move from West Blvd to Ross Ave and a covered walkway will be added. New lighting will improve safety around the building.
New windows will give customers a clear view of the parking lot and streets and let in plenty of light.
On the inside there are even more changes. A whole new line of state-of-the-art Maytag machines is waiting in our warehouse for installation. These machines will clean customers?’ clothes better, using less soap and less water. Less soap means clothes last longer. The machines also spin faster than most do so less dryer time is needed. The building will be air-conditioned and will feature a full-time attendant for the assistance of customers. There will be discount programs as well. The entire interior will be redone with more lighting and new colors.
Our attendant will also be available for customers wishing to pay to have their laundry done for them.
Watch for our grand opening banner in front of the Laundromat. Special events and give-aways will be happening so bring your dirty laundry and come pay us a visit .
