Hi all.  Just a warning to all those with dogs and babies, we will be doing some fireworks this evening starting at 9:30 pm.  They shouldn't last too long.  I wanted to give you a little warning so if necessary, you could give your dogs some meds and maybe play some music or white noise for the babies (mine doesn't wake up during them and isn't bothered by them in the least, but all are different).  Thanks, and have a great weekend.

I am just curious if the crazy lady with the camera showed up at your party?

No crazy ladies at our little party (taking pictures as in using them for evidence of my committing a crime? or just because she really, really likes fireworks?), but i did put little notes on everyone's doors around us so that no one would be surprised (and would have time to medicate the dogs).  However, we still had one grump poke his head out at about 9:45 and tell us to "stop that" and that he was going to call the police.  I politely (well, I was very civil which is more than I can say for him) told him we were finishing our fireworks and that it was actually legal.  He still came outside and made sure we saw him on his mobile phone.  No police ever came by, so I'm not sure if he actually reported us (they actually have to respond to every call) or if he just asked if it was still legal to be shooting fireworks.  How people are unaware that they live outside of the city limits is beyond me...  We also tried to have them end as early as possible.  We started the minute it got dark and we were finished by (or before) 10:00.

I'm half tempted to get enough fireworks to shoot at least one small batch off every night just to show the grumps that we can do that any night of the year.  They should actually be glad most of the fireworks around here end so early.  Where we lived in Tennessee, people shot of fireworks until 4 am.  They only stopped because that's when it started to get a little light!  We were outside city limits, so any night any time it was legal.  We at least try to be respectful of our neighbors by giving them notice and keeping it short!!!

I am glad you don't live near me or I'd pee in your bushes every night and take a dump on your driveway every time you shot off fireworks other than the 4th...
