Hi. I came across this site because I am looking to relocate to the San Antonio area.  I am a single mom with 2 children- 11yr old boy and 9 yr old girl.  I presently live in Pa.  I have been looking around for rental properties  (craigslist) found one in this community.  It did not give the number of the house but said the home is located on Lake Sunset Ct/ Towne Lake Dr on quiet cul-de-sac. 

After reading some of the concerns here, I'm wondering if this is a place I should consider not renting.  Any suggestions would help.  I'm moving here on my own and a little nervous.  I want to feel safe for myself and my children. 

I notice there are quite a few older kids in the neighborhood.  Are there any younger children ages 9-12.  Also, how are the schools here? What Elementary and Middle school would my kids attend?

Again, I would appreciate any advise and/or info about your community.

Hi!  My name is Sherri LePere and I live in Towne Lake and happen to be a real estate agent.  Towne Lake is a gated community and for the most part a truly nice neighborhood.  About one block from the house that is for rent, across the main road there is a home that has had some serious problems, but not on the side of this rental.  You can find out about the schools by going to schooldiggers.com, and the schools for this area are Oak Grove Elementary, Garner Middle School and MacArthur High School -- they are in the Northeast Independent School District and from everything I have heard they are very good schools - I have no children going to school.
