I think we need to go back to some basics and forget about this gambling stuff that drives people further down the sinkhole and the state to then pick up more of the left overs but then have to bite the bullet on picking these people up.

Today's front page of the Projo features a story about the recommendations from the Governor's tax panel, including a proposal to eliminate the corporate income tax in an effort to attract businesses and create jobs. It also lowers the tax brackets for the high incomes and slightly lowers middle and lower class categories... Is this a tax on the backs of Joe Lunchbucket or a positive effort to make more business grow in RI with high paid executives? |
