Ridge Pointe

I've been seeing lots of cracks appearing at seams and what not. Today marked my first year in the house so I did not get to see what happened last year. Was this year particularly more dry than normal? I have a furnace humidifier, but that didn't seem to do much good. Just wondering if anyone else suffered from the same issues this winter.
