Traffic Control

Excellent Point!

Two other major contributors are: The neighborhood directly across Kernan - Mt. Pleasant - anyone can stand at the entrance and watch numerous people cross over all day long and people avoiding the construction. I purposely slow down even more when it appears the person is cutting through and they usually attempt to pass me. It is a very serious problem. I was trying to brainstorm today and we could possibly make signs and periodically stand at the entrances and ask them to respect our property (if we left them there, they would probably be stolen) or I thought we might be able to send a postcard to each homeowner of Mt Pleasant asking them for their cooperation. I have tried in the past to call their board and ask them to put it in their newsletter. Otherwise we can start driving through their streets as a convoy, to show them the effect. Any suggestions?

A Sign???

I was just wondering what your sign that you would hold at the entrance of our subdivison would read. Perhaps, "Please do not drive on these public streets that your tax dollars helped build and maintain."
The only issue here is traffic speed, not the traffic amount. This complaint has been tested and debated for years in other subdivisions with the only workable solution being installing speed bumps. This makes the cut-through less inviting to travelers. However, it tends to irritate the residents of the subdivison involved, and also requires city approval. And lord knows it would most likely increase an already too high association fee.

Traffic Control

I was unable to attend the meeting on November 20th 2003, I did receive the flyer w/ the options for traffic control. What was the result? Have you received 75% of the residents votes in favor of speed bumps or other traffice options?
Thank You,

Traffic Still a Concern?

I'm a fairly new resident, and our backyard is right on Running River Road. The traffic is pretty bad! Is there still interest in doing something about the traffic problems? With the recent accident on the Kernan side of Running River, I'm afraid we might be the next victims! I think many others are wondering the same thing.
