There is alot if talk about the risk of health issues with these gas drillings. I am curious if anyone that is on the gas lease committee could shed some light on this topic. Was it ever brought up in any of the committee meetings?

Some of the info we reviewed
These are just a few of the links to resources we reviewed. http://www.dentonrc.com/sharedcontent/dws/drc/specialprojects/drilling/stories/DRC_Barnett_Shale's_0517.79a25a5d.html http://www.barnettshaleexpo.com/docs/Barnett_Shale_Impact_Study.pdf http://www.uta.edu/naturalgas/president-message.php We encourage you to ask questions and to review the lease that is presented Saturday. We spent a lot of time making sure to add protections to the lease. We have recommended Carrizo because many of the measures were in the first lease they sent us. We were impressed with their experience with the project at UT Arlington. There are new technologies that have been developed just in the last 3 years that will make a difference in the impact of urban drilling. We respect each person's choice to sign or not sign a lease.
