I live on Mystic too, and my next door neighbor came home with a rooster a few years ago.  It's a hassle, but I just went over to tell them it was noisy and disturbing the neighborhood.  It was gone the next day.  Might be worth a try, but I understand if you don't want to do that.

As for the neighborhood going downhill - yep, I've noticed that too.  There's a house on Mystic that burned several years ago, and it's in horrible condition.  Somebody lives there, but they haven't been able to bring it back to what is was before.  It's a blight.

I'm pretty embarrassed by it to.  And, I too have seen the neighborhood go down.  I have too much invested here so, I try to do what I can.

I'm not going anywhere until my eldest son graduates or I find that lakehouse i've been looking for.

I certainly did not like to hear what Code had to say about the rooster.
