My wife also had a stranger ring the bell and tell her the same story.He gave a bogus home address and same false story.My wife sent him away and said she would bring some money after calling her husband.,that is when she called me and I quickly found out there was no such address on our street,the man disappeared.
Another "scam " happens on the access road at Loop 820 and Trinity.I have seen it twice now...A lady pulls off the road ,frantically waves down cars and says she is out of gas and needs money.She has a phone and when we stopped to help she said someone else had stopped and was on their way to get a gas can filled but it was small and would not get her home,she wanted $$$ to fill her tank ?????I saw this same Lady about a month later in a diff car.P.S. she dresses very well,and what looks like a 15 YO boy usually sits slumped in the pass seat.
