Does anyone else think our streets are crap ? Who do we need to petition to get a bond or somthing to re pave all of our streets ? Also it would be nice if people actually parked in their garage or driveway once in awhile.

I never have understood why people park on the street and not in their driveways. I am always so scared that some kid is going to come running out from behind a car (that happens to be parked on the street) and I am going hit them. Not to mention that it makes the neighborhood look yucky. Who knows why?!?! |

Could you be more specific on which streets you believe are "crap"? Some park on the street out of necessity. Having a couple of trucks and a teenager that drives also, it is hard to make our driveway larger. Plus when you park classic cars in the garage, can't make a garage bigger, unless my neighbors mind me pouring concrete in their yard. Call Fort Worth about the streets. Drive slower down the streets with the parked cars and get over it.

More specific ? Sure. All the streets between Salado and say Thames. Maybe you live in the newer developments behind the school but my house is off salado and all of our streets are crap. Alot of it is from erosion alot of it is from people who park 3 or 4 trucks that have oil leaks and stain the roads.
Maybe there should be an ordiance about amount how many motor vehichles should be allowed at a residence based on the size of the house. If you have "classic cars" say like a 1990 FORD then yea by all means you should be allowed to park 6 in the road and 2 in the garage. One of the worst streets around is Mystic so many cars parked down that street you feel like your driving down a big parking lot.
