what block of Tyne Trail?  I live on Tyne.  There were 3 black guys driving a faded old, dented, rusted, dk green Mazda 626 sedan seen breaking into a home near the school  The police have the license plate on that car.  They were first seen sitting in front of a home at 9037 Tyne Trail but were spotted by a neighbor then they drove off then they went down by the school, kicked in the front door and had TV and gaming equipment out in the car within 2 minutes.  They kick in the front doors and get stuff fast.  Dogs do help!  I have 3 bolts on my front door and go out thru the garage when I leave.  I have a padlock on my gate that leads to the back yard and dogs in back yard and keep one inside just to bark.  When I leave the house, I leave the TV on inside and turn it up loud so if they hear noise they will go away.  What did the cops say?  Did they take a report.  THey will only patrol our area if there are a high number of reports.  If all these things happen with no reports to the PD, they won't know we are being targeted so bad.  We are surrounded by highways and it's easy target for them to get in and out of our neighborhood quickly by access to all the highways.

Its so true, we need to report everything to the police.  Also call 911 on suspicious activity, that will get the cops out here and give them a good reason to ask questions if there is something going on.

We have all our neighbors' phone numbers and we watch out for each other, its great to network.

Great advice from all!! 

Yes, my neighbor across the street is watching my home as we speak.  She is a stay home mom and am very thankful for that.  We live in a great neighborhood and I know all my neighbors. I could not dial 911 fast enough! It was very scary!  This happened on the second block of Tyne Trail from the dead end, far East side. 

I have additional information on the suspects.  First of all, I believe and almost 90% sure this kid tries to sell magazines from door to door.  Please be aware of this scam because some of my neighbors that have ordered magazines from these jerks have never delivered.  This information I received from the Ft.Worth police.  They initially go out door to door and check out your house...i.e. alarm, big screen tv in living room etc. I had a house guest that answered the door about a month ago to this scam artist.  They got a bad feeling about this person because he did not have any ID on him for who he was selling magazines.  This young kid (5'7" to 5'8" very dark african american, large lips, very thin and narrow jaw line, head shaved at the time, aprox. 18-24 years old) started to get an attitude and my house guest even thought he may damage the car out front because of the attitude this kid presented.  Then he turns around and asked a younger house guest if he had a Playstation.  I reported all of this to the police and gave them a better description.

More details on the attempted robbery: About 9:45 last Tuesday, December 30th there was a knock at my door.  Did not answer the door since I was not near the front part of the house.  Then I heard pounding at my front door.  They had left and came back with a crow-bar and when I went to the door and saw what they were doing, I yelled at them and dialed 911.  That did scare them off.  There were two black males spotted.  One was ligher skinned and a little younger.

Everyone please be aware!  I would sure hate to make the news that I killed a home intruder, but you have to carry guns now to protect your self and it is a shame!
