River Trails Homeowners Association

Thought everyone should be aware the Subway on Precinct was robbed about 8:15 last night (Tuesday).  My daughter who attends RT was walking in to order when the robber was walking out; he passed our car and walked around the north end of the building.  African american male, 30s.  The 2 younger ladies who were working were visably shaken & upset.  This parking lot is very poorly lit after dark.  I did call 911 and briefly spoke with the police when they arrived; it look probably 3-5 for the police to arrive.  Scary, be aware of your surroundings if you are in that parking lot after dark.

Do you know if they were armed?

I drove by after it happened and wondered why all the police were there, now I know.

Keep in mind that when seconds count the police are only minutes away and that it is up to each of us to provide for ourselves.

The latest statistic I could find was that in 2005 citywide the average response time for the police was more than six (6) minutes!!

We need to take back our neighborhoods and stop allowing the thugs to make us live in fear.

This seems like a rather brazen robbery for it to occur at 8:15pm.  This shows that it can happen at anytime.  I would stay extra vigilant while this perp is still on the loose.

We didn't actually see a gun or anything...however when i was on with 911 they had me ask.  According to 1 of the girls that was working she said she saw a gun in his waistband.  However nothing was pulled.
