I have been argueing with Oncor Electric for 6+ months now over our side gate locks. We live on the corner and there are lots of kids that hang out on the corner. We do not want to leave the gate unlocked for security reasons. Oncor for some reason wont read our electric meter from the sidewalk outside the fence, they insist they must come in the back yard. We are not sure what to do now, they say that they must have access to the back yard to read the meter or TXU will disconnect service. With all the crime in the area we definitely dont want to leave the gate unlocked for them, we tried that one month and they didnt shut the gate all the way and our dog got out when we got home and unknowingly let him out back. Looks like our only option is to pay to have another type of meter installed so they can read it remotely. This option is not favorable in my opinion because we are already paying $2 a month for the next 4 years on our electric bill so they can put in another new meter in 2012. Be aware of this issue as you put locks on your side gates! |

They read my meter over the fence. I did hear of another resident that had the same problem but, I don't know of the outcome. That's ridiculous. If you live on the corner of Brushycreek where the kids bus stop is, I feel for you. It drives me nuts how the teens tear up the landscaping bricks at the house i'm thinking of. If it's not your house, it still drives me crazy. |

The kids at the bus stop is an easy fix. the stop has been designated by the school district. The district should be informed and if need be they can move the stop. The kids can be punished by the school for this as well as by the police. Homeowner needs to get involved. |
