There are more and more websites popping up regarding crime. Here is a website that appears to be the most accurate and up to date that I can tell.  The neat thing about this one, is that it will send you emails regarding crimes within 3 miles from your home.  Visit the site and put in your address and sign up for the email alerts.

I use www.crimemapping.com which is what is linked to by the Ft Worth police department.

It has all the feature offered by the one you mention but it doesn't have ads.

Crimemapping is a pretty good one.  I like the way it looks, a little more official. It was my first choice. However, I found that crimestop was more up to date at times. I'm not sure why?

Both are great sites for keeping up with what's going on around us.  I'm signed up with both.
