Has anyone had a problem with bulk trash being dumped on their curb?  Monday evening, someone left some old nasty carpet and two garbage bags of carpet remnants on our curb.  I was just going to leave it and let the bulk trash collectors pick it up.  However  I discovered that they would not, due to the fact that garbage bags were used.  We live on a pretty busy street and needless to say I've gotten used to having to pick up the occasional bottle or can, but bulk trash is a new one.

It sounds gross, but if you take a look inside the bags and see info that looks like it's a particular home, I would contact the FTW Police, Ft Worth Trash,  or maybe even code enforcement(?) and report for dumping.

It might not be your neighbors.   It could be a contractor's leftovers from a job not even done in River Trails!   I saw some guys up show for a minor repair job a few houses down and leave all the detritus from the back of the pickup truck in the homeowners yard for the city (i.e. homeovner) to deal with..

I have even heard of aparment dwellers finding a neighborhood to drop their trash in if they are told certain things were to be kept out of their dumpsters like prelit Christmas trees.    Just wait until  they find the landfill on Precinct Line is no longer in service.

I have a friend who does home construction home odd-jobs and at least he cleans up after himself and takes the debris to the local landfill where he lives (as long as it fits in the pick-up truck).  Everyone should have the same consideration!  Since I use him for help on projects I can't handle myself I don't have the problem with leaving my items at the curb (if it's weekend for bulk-trash) otherwise he takes the stuff off of 820 at the transfer station.  Personally, if I used someone else for the work, I would make that a stipulation that they pick-up and dispose of the debris themselves.
