River Trails Homeowners Association

I copied the below description of a home for sale of www.realtor.com.  Are we truly allowed to use the pond and jogging path if we pay our voluntary HOA fees?

Great home in convenient location, close to schools, shopping, everything you need close by. Nice Vaulted ceilings, Formal living-diningg, den and loft rec. area. Storage Building. Nice drive up appeal. Exterior recently painted. Wonderfully shaded front. great back yd. Join Vol. HOA and u may use pond and jog path. $3500 carpet allow. to replace vinyl squares.

I certainly hope so!  But not sure how the Big Mean Security Guy would know the difference on who belongs and who doesn't? 

AFAIK, when this topic comes up at the HOA meetings, they tell us we're not allowed to use the path or lake because LORT doesn't cover insurance for RTHA if someone gets hurt.  We always seem to include LORT in our HOA events/meetings, it sucks they don't reciprocate.  Can RTHA board tell us which is true (pond yes or no)?

LORT does not allow River Trails residents to use their pond area because we are not covered under their insurance.  None of our $25 voluntary RTHA dues go towards the insurance or expenses of the pond.  The real estate listing you mentioned is not accurate.  I tried contacting the realtor, but could not get through after hours.  I will try again tomorrow.  We don't want anyone misled about what our RTHA dues cover.
