Snow Vandalism

Posted in: River Trails

I understand its offensive, however is it worth even reporting considering the snow melted the next day?

Do you really understand the offense ? Do you know what its like to have to buy 2 airplane tickets just to fly from here to Houston and everyone stare at you the whole time ? Do you know what its like to go back for your 10th pudding at Golden Corral only to have management ask you to leave because you are eating all their pudding ? Have you ever had to carry an oxygen tank to the mail box when it is just down the street because you cant breath well without it ? Just because the snow melted doesnt mean the offense did with it. It was an attack on me and who I am ..they might as well doused my car with paint its a wound that will take a while to heal. So yeah maybe its not an offense worth reporting to people who only care about themselves and dont want to know what kind of hooligans are running amuck in this neighborhood but to me I wanted people to know. People like you Jim who think of these things as harmless jokes well sometimes jokes hurt , hurt real bad like heart burn after eating 2 double cheesburgers. Im sorry for letting you guys in to my world for now on I will only complain about the neighborhood not answering my emails about Code Blue and how no one shows up to the meetings.

Listen, I never said (nor thought) this was a joke, and not making light of other things going on with you, but where in that one sentence did it sound like I said it was funny or a joke?  I was asking a valid question because the evidence was gone in 24 hours, therefore it's not around for anyone like the cops to react to or do anything about.  There are much more serious crimes in other areas, parts of the city where people truly are hostages in their own homes with gangs running around.  I never said it was a joke.  Despite the uncaring attitude in this neighborhood in the last 2 years especially, where nobody cares unless there is a gas-lease to line their pockets, we are still very lucky that more serious crime hasn't come to RT yet.

Personally, I suggest putting cameras up to catch crap you experienced, I wish I had them up when someone smeared pudding all over the mailbox that I and 5 other neighbors use (which is absolutely gross and difficult to avoid when getting your daily mail, I just hope it was pudding).

Yes the vandalism is getting out of hand and yes I feel like nobody is doing anything about it, but don't make assumptions about me when you don't even know me, or lump me in with these dumba**es who do or support this crap.  I'm just as frustrated as you are about this neighborhood going down hill, but it's no reason to attack me especially on a public forum.  I would never have done that to you or anyone else, if you have a problem with me even though you don't know me, take it to a private message.

Ok, I'm confused.  When did FGILC ever mention reporting it to the police?  Am I missing something?  All he said was that he would eat the person who did it when he finds them.  And my comment was kind of tongue in cheek because you always hear about guys writing things in the snow.  Please don't stop posting FGILC.  You always provide me with much needed humor!  We would all miss you too much!

Well, my two year old son and I built a snowman in the middle of our front yard the day it snowed and later that afternoon I found car tracks through my front yard and neighbor's yards, where some crazy plowed it with thier car.  THEY DROVE THROUGH MY FRONT YARD!! Some idiot could have lost control and drove through my house with my son and I at home in it!  Scarey, but of course I'm sure the idiot never thought about that!
