How was the meeting? Was there a good turnout? Did enough people make a big enough stink so that they might reconsider?

There were not as many people from River Trails as I had hoped, I would guess less than 75 people were there. The cafeteria was not crowded. They danced around our questions and seldom gave a straight answer. None of their answers swayed anyone to their side. I think they ticked people off more than they did anything. Channel 11 news truck is parked outside my house, so I'm guessing it will be aired on tonights news. There is only about 60% of LORT South neighborhood who have signed petitions in opposition of this, and only 19% of River Trails neighborhood. I have 2 signs in my yard along with 2 'info' boxes. One box has blank petitions and the other box it so put the signed petitions in for collection. We only have a couple more days to gather as many petitions as possible. so please pass this info to your neighbors to grab a petition and sign it and turn it in. also we need as many bodies at the City Council meetings as possible. Next Wednesday at 10 am is the hearing and December 6th at 7pm at City hall is when they actually vote on it. We need lots of bodies in opposition at both of those meetings.

here is a link to the news cast of last night's meeting. Apparently there were a few more people than I thought, I was told there were over 100 people. But still not as many as I'd hoped.
