I agree with the idea of bringing in Officer Hinkle.  He is a friend of mine and will definatley  put this neighborhood back in shape.  There would be no parking in the streets and kids would not be out at night when they are not supposed too.

I do not agree with speed bumps, but i do agree that we have a crappy hoa board and they need to be kicked out on their ***!!!  I never saw anything about a pool, i would have voted  yes for that.  But I guess all of our money is spent on something we don't see....because looking at the neighborhood, we all can see that is hasn't been spend on it!!!!  I would love to see the yards cut..my neighbor looks like he is growing a freakin' tree farm on one side...i heard that if you did not cut your grass, that you got a warning, then if you did not..you got fined..then if you still did not, they would cut it for  you and send you a bill.  But as usual, that was just talk....let's just sighn the freakin petition and get it over with so we can fix the problems ourselves.  That way know it will be done. 

We do need to get better patroling.  I have heard that we have an officer, but i have yet to see him.  When does he work, or does he?  I am sure we pay  him / her enough money to patrol the area, the least they could is be seen......I love where i live but these problems are small things that could be fixed very easily...just to bad  the hoa board doesn't have time to take care of the responsibilites.  WHERE'S THE PETITION???? How many signatures do we need???

I hope that you are planning to run on the board this year.  The HOA really needs good people to run our neighborhood.  Especially when it comes to getting homeowners to mow their lawns and take care of their homes.  Good luck and I will be watching to see how well you do on the HOA.

I ran last year wanting to make an honest difference in our neighborhood, unfortunately I didn't make it.  That did not deter me from doing the following:

Community Newsletter (I wrote and the board had printed and mailed) and organizing the Community Yard Sale.

I founded and run a state wide non-profit and I understand it's difficult to get volunteers, etc.  I have found that the more effort I put into what I do, the better results I get.  Therefore, being on the board means dedication and application.  The best way to turn things around in the neighborhood starts at the top with the board of directors, once homeowners see positive changes, like the return of the community yard sale, open communication, responses to emails and concerns, only then will our community come together and improve.  I do realize the HOA can't fix every problem, but their lack of response to homeowners leaves us with the feeling that they don't care to respond when the case may be their hands are tied and they actually can't act.  I sincerely hope that I'm able to make a change and see our community improve whether or not I'm on the board.  See you Nov 2, unless I go into labor early!
