For many years the Oak Park community requested that the city install traffic signals at the intersections of Pirotte Dr. and 54th St. and at Grape St./Haniman Dr. and 54th St. We were often assured that they were on the list, but always with the aside that we shouldn?’t expect much until if or when someone dies. After much work by a member of this community and an extremely serious accident involving a police officer the signal at Pirotte and 54th St. was finally installed. The requests for Grape St./Haniman Dr. still got the ?“it?’s on the list but?…?” routine. How many more must die? City of San Diego, where is our signal?

Another hit and run just after New Years. This time a little girl was seriously injured. Only this time, with the help of some citizens, the police caught this one. How many more City?
