Increase the annual assessment?

Posted in: Danbury
Assessment changes

I will volunteer to reproduce copies and hand deliver a message to all resident's houses. Those that choose to not go, or cannot go to the special meeting should have the opportunity to vote also. I will help in any way .

Meetings and voting

The neighborhood indentures dictate that annual meetings and any special meetings where neighborhood business is conducted involving indenture changes must be predicated with proper notification to all homeowners. At one time a newpaper add was sufficient, but we typically mail notices to each home. Any resident who cannot attend can still vote by filling out a proxy, which allows another homeowner to cast their absent ballot along with his own. This proxy can be given to any homeowner or to the Trustees. Keep in mind that the homeowner holding proxies does the actual voting. When you give a proxy to someone else to vote for you, you are trusting them to vote in your interests. Danbury has consistently used proxy voting to establish a quorum in order to pass indenture changes due to the lack of attendance at meetings.
H2 get proxy ballot

How soon are we going to get notice of the election and the particulars of what is going to be voted on. What if there are more than one issues to be voted on... does the proxy apply to all issues to be voted on? Even ones brought up in the meeting? I once again volunteer to hand deliver notifications to save postage.
