Hello Community,

As your new Common Grounds Trustee, I am considering calling for VOLUNTEERS to help with some of the lighter grounds work throughout our community as follows:

Volunteer Cul-de-sac Captains

Volunteer Twigwood Task Force by Section #

Volunteer Pool Posse

Volunteer Rustic Valley Rangers

Each volunteer would need to live in their associated section (except for the Pool Possee which can be a combination of any of you) and I hope for two to a section to make efforts lighter and chit-chat possible while working to help pass the time.

This request is in an effort to cut down on outsourcing the smaller jobs as they come up and/or waiting for a contractor to take the job as needed. This will not influence your regular annual assessment (no sweat equity permitted), but it could cut down on the need for those special assessments that pop up from time to time. For example, someone has pushed down the small plum tree to the west side of the pool.  The job is too small to call in a contractor so I will be working on it myself today starting around 9:30a.  Feel free to join me.

I would like to hear yays or nays from our community on this idea before further implementation.  I feel we can't need more and expect to pay less without investing ourselves in the continued improvement of Rolling Hills Country Club Park, The Meadows and Rustic Valley.  Please join the discussion

Hellow Community:

Thanks to someone who cut off the dead branches to the common ground tree at the speed sign across from the Rolling Hills Pool.  I certainly could not have reached them myself.  I was working on them today (9-2-16) cutting up the smaller branches and disposing of them in my old trash can that I got a free sticker for from City Hall indicating it was a lawn and garden container for trash pickup--we all could do this with our old trash cans that we can no longer use for the trash pickup by Republic Services.  By doing so we would not incur any extra cost with those lawn a garden bags we usually purchase for fall clean up.  I only have one such can, so it is going to take me a couple of weeks to clear the fallen branches, but any one who would like to voluntarily invest themselves in this enadeavor to save us the cost of hiring someone against our budget balance would be welcomed.  Remember, I am calling such volunteers to lower our assessments and yet keep our neighborhood appearance in good order on short order. Hope to see my Twigwood Taskforce take formation.

Thank you Rustic Valley Rick.  I was so surprised this afternoon to see that all of the fallen wood at the base of the speed sign tree had been removed after our conversation this morning.  I hope you and your family enjoyed your Labor Day Celebration.  Cool
