Only valid Rolling Oaks neighbors (those with valid Rolling Oaks addresses) who signup have access to the information posted on the Rolling Oaks I web site. The Rolling Oaks I web site is connected to other surrounding Nextdoor neighborhoods to allow the sharing of information, i.e. crime. Each person who signs up controls how much notification via email and/or text messages he/she receives from the web site.
CMPD automatically updates the Crime & Safety section of the Rolling Oaks Nextdoor web site to keep us informed. Therefore, residents who do not signup risk becoming crime victims. CMPD no longer has a web site residents can visit to get the information regarding the specifics of neighborhood crimes. It was CMPD who invited Neighborhood Watch captains to join this online social network to facilitate communication and to reduce crime.
