SEIU Aiding Ald. Lyle in Attacking Sawyer
6th Ward Aldermanic Candidate Roderick Sawyer , today called for Ald. Freddrenna Lyle and the SEIU Illinois Council PAC ,to stop lying to residents of the 6th Ward.
“Any incumbent who has been in office for 13 years should be able to stand on their accomplishments. Ald. Lyle has once again shown her inability to campaign on her record, by resorting to lying to 6th Ward residents.”
Two SEIU mailers have accused Sawyer of supporting video gaming in all bars and restaurants.
“The only statement I have ever made concerning video gaming, is that the city council should debate the issue, like it should any revenue generating idea that is introduced. The law as it was written has been invalidated by the Illinois Supreme Court, and the Senate President has moved to exclude it from the new revenue package. There is no video gaming in Chicago. I have no idea what they are talking about. First she felt the need to attack my late father, and now this. I would like to see Ald. Lyle and SEIU focus on her yes votes to new taxes, the parking meter fiasco, as well as any ideas they may have to erase the $600 million deficit, and getting rid of the litter and blowing trash in our streets.”
