Proposed Isis Restaraunt

Posted in: Roseway
For those of you wondering what is happening with the World (W)ide Supply building on Sandy Blvd across from Safeway, let me bring you up to speed. The buildings owner has proposed to open a restaurant called Isis, which will offer French style dancing. He has also applied for a liquor license, which is currently being processed by the OLCC. I recently sat down with the applicant, at the urging of OLCC, and worked out a good neighbor agreement that addresses the concerns of many residents living near the establishment. Lack of parking and potential noise problems were the major issues focused upon, and the applicant has agreed to address them in a satisfactory manner. No, the agreement is not binding, but it does give the neighborhood a leg to stand on if complaints surface. But let us hope it does not come to that. Who knows? Maybe we will all be down there learning some new dance steps. The agreement is being finalized by the OLCC and will be sent to the Roseway Neighborhood Association for review. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 249-5966 or attend our general board meeting on Tuesday, October 10, 7pm at the Grace Lutheran Church (7610 NE Fremont).
