On Tuesday, August 1st, RR and towns throughout the country will be participating in National Night Out. Neighbors are asked to lock their doors, turn on their outside lights, and spend an evening with neighbors and police.

Egger Acres has been registered with the RR Police Department to participate in this event.
The event will take place at Stella Park from 7 pm - 10 pm.

This discussion has been created to help generate ideas and plans for the event. The more help the merrier!

One idea that has surfaced is to hold an ice cream social. I think it is a great idea that seems simple enough to pull off. Does any one have ideas about some ways that we can promote this event (as well as the website)?

Tonight's dessert night was a fun and productive meeting. We have collectively decided on an ice cream social. We have decided to see if we can reserve a visit from the RR Fire Department at the NNO event. A few fun, simple kids' games will be played.

To market the event, we are asking a few neighbors to set up free lemonade/cookie stands and have a sign up sheet for the Neighborhood Link and some information handy. We are also planning a flashlight walk throughout the neighborhood a week before NNO. We need volunteers for both! If you are able to assist in either event, please contact me. Thanks!
