1988 Founded as the Southeast Seminole Heights Action League
1989 Combined with local Neighborhood Watch groups and reorganized to become Southeast Seminole Heights Civic Association
1990 Expanded to include the area between Osborne Avenue and Chelsea Street
1993 Expanded to include the area between Chelsea St. and Martin Luther King Blvd.
1993 Developed a partnership with the Nebraska Avenue Business Watch
Southeast Seminole Heights Civic Association will ensure continued neighborhood rejuvenation by involving our neighbors in a team approach in solving problems and facing issues. Our neighborhood will continue to be involved in city-wide projects such as the Tampa Neighborhood Watch Association (TNWA), Tampa Homeowners, an Association of Neighborhoods (TNWA), Neighborhood Environmental Action Team (NEAT) and Paint Your Heart Out Tampa.
Southeast Seminole Heights Civic Association will continue in its quest to rejuvenate our neighborhood with our neighbors working together to encourage residential redevelopment, renew business and retail development while valuing the diversity of our neighbors.
