Although I would love for people to use their garages for parking their cars and I would like to see less recreational vehicles parked on the streets, I used to live in a neighborhood near the beach so we had parking permits and it's a slippery slope to require permits. The City will then keep raising the permit fees and ticket fines and we won't have control over that. Where I lived any resident applying for a parking permit had to pay $140 per permit. It's not fair to penalize everyone who is parking their 2 cars in the garage or their 3rd or 4th in the driveway. Also, it will create a situation where we will have to purchase parking permits for our guests to park on our streets.
