A Hidden Treasure

South City Park Neighborhood is a diverse group of people representing various ethnic backgrounds, lifestyles and interests. Homes and businesses are located between the southern edge of City Park on the north, Colfax Avenue on the south, Detroit Street on the west and Colorado Blvd. on the eastern edge. Comprised of only a 24 city block area, we are one of urban Colorado's best kept secrets, enjoying immediate proximity to recreation at City Park, including the Denver Zoo, IMAX theater, and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Some of Denver's finest restaurants are only steps away for residents, and Downtown, LoDo, Uptown, Capitol Hill, and Cherry Creek are within one or two miles of our doorways. Some of Denver's major hospitals are only blocks away.

History

Historically, life in South City Park has followed the booms and busts of life in Denver. Most homes here were built since 1900 with the bulk of them constructed between 1900 and 1930. The styles popular in that period are reflected in homes from Denver Squares to modest bungalows, Tudor apartments, high-rise condominiums, and a few townhomes constructed in the 1990's.
