There is a new restaurant called Frankie's on 53rd & Blue Mound RD. It specializes in Italian beef but sells other sandwiches. They open up on Wednesday, but their official grand opening is July 9th. We stopped in there today and prices are reasonable. Italian beef sandwich is $5.50, their combo (sauage & italian beef) was around $7.50 and they have a one called a Godfather which has italian, brat and polish sausage topped with italian beef. This sandwich is approx 18 inches long and cost $14.99.
