This post concerns the kids who are allowed to freely play in the middle of the streets of our neighborhood.  A visitor to my home over the weekend nearly hit a young boy who darted into the street without even looking.  This occurred near the Stop 11 entrance.  I myself have been frustrated with the kids who constantly play IN the street.  There is a large common-use field just down the street which would be a much safer place for kids.  Back in my childhood days, my mom would spank my behind for going even near the street, let alone in it.  

If your kid gets hit by a car, it's your fault more than the driver's.  Teach your kids proper safety please.
