I attended the annual Londonderry Civic Association meeting last night, and I was absolutely astounded. First, I was entertained by the drama during which one woman repeated referred to her neighbor (not present) as scum. This was probably a legitimate comment, as the "scum" had reportedly left the house in handcuffs on several occasions. But, when the evening ended in an all-out battle between part of the leadership team and a homeowner, I was actually embarassed to live there. Profanties were thrown around, one party announced that he had thrown another's dog over a fence.... It's truly scary to know I'm living with these people.
Civic Association needs to get it together.

if you are embarassed to live there, then move out. I also attended that meeting and the "homeowner" was an extremely horrible person who was shouting false information. It is because people like you (scared) that this neighborhood is drowning in scum. start being part of the solution, stop being scared and speak up. too many folks that do not have the guts to do something, just waiting for someone else to do it. what makes you so special that you cannot speak up? "living with these people"? The homwowner you spoke of does not even live there, she is a slumlord that rents to a lower class type of people. |
