Just curious, what is everyone's view of the deputies patroling our streets? Do you feel they are doing enough? Are they curtious? Any particular officer's and/or comments about them? I have just moved in to the neighborhood and want to know what everone thinks...

Response time is generally between 5 to 20 minutes depending on the nature of the call and time of day.
Keep in mind that deputies cover all of Bexar County and must handle calls in priority of nature.
I would rate Deputies responding (on a scale of 1- 10) generally a 9.
Are you questioning because you have had a problem?
We had a call today and had a response within 5 minutes to a fire reported that was vandalism/arson. That was excellent response time for a deputy who arrived before the fire department. They were all business and yet courteous.
We have a few police officers who live within the community and infact, one was a first responder to the fire this morning as he was driving home. He was on scene, started to extinguish the fire and remained on scene until it was completely extinguished.
In general, I feel comfortable with the protection afforded to our community.
I would also note that we have a COP program within our community. These volunteer members patrol at various times of the day and night and are residents within our community. They have had training with the Sheriffs' Department and help assist the Sheriffs' department report crime. If you have a problem with any of these members please contact me directly at bexarccoptx@gmail.com.
I hope this addresses all your concerns.
