Please advise who to contact about the Kirkwood Soccer Club attendees who find it necessary to park on the shoulders of Rt.9-River Road during their events.
Many of the attendees who park on the shoulders act as if the road is an extention of the Kirkwood Soccer Club and when leaving their cars, do not look for oncoming traffic. Sometimes there may be an off-duty cop, however, he does not direct them and he is not always there during the entire event. Many times I have seen children around the cars and on the road left unattended. This is a serious problem and needs to be addressed. Also, why are there "NO STOPPING,NO STANDING,NO PARKING SIGNS" THERE WHEN THEY ARE NOT ABIDED BY EVEN WHEN THE COP IS THERE? THE SIGNS ARE ONLY POSTED ON ONE SIDE OF ROUTE 9.
There is muc traffic on Route 9 that include cars, trucks and expecially motorcycles.
Del Dot should be posting lower speed limits in the area, also signs that the club has and entrance/exit.
Please help before a major mishap occurs.
