I work at night, so I drive through our neigborhood after dark to go to work.  As the weather has gotten nicer, I have noticed more garage doors being left open.  It's not a lot, but if I notice it, criminals will notice it as well.

We just recently had two unsavory individuals arrested for breaking into cars, we don't need more of them coming into the neighborhood to do the same.

A couple of reminders:

 - The safest place for your car is in the garage.

 - If you must park in the driveway or street, please keep all important or high dollar items out of sight and lock your doors.

 - Please close your garage door after dark if you are not out in it.

 - Lock all first floor windows when you go to bed.

The most important item is if you see something or someone unusual or out of place, call the Hilliard Police non-emergency number (614-876-7321) and request an Officer to check it out.  Let's keep each other safe!!
