How do we find out who our block captains are? Can we get this information posted on this site or in the newsletter? Also, can we have an explanation of what a block captains role is?

How to find

Check neighborhood contacts under neighborhood information on the home page to find out who your block captain is.

Block captains are volunteers who serve under the safety committee chairs. They pass information on from the committee to their street's residents and contact the committee if an event occurs on their street. They may also organize social events like a block party, as well as welcome new residents.

Jim & Jan Byrne are the safety chairs and could answer any questions you might have. Give them a ring - they're great & looking for volunteers for our annual safety event - National Night Out!

Block Captains

Sidra answered your question very well. Another one of the main duties of a Block Captain is also to have an active Neighborhood Watch for their street. If you would e-mail us and tell us the street you live on, we would be happy to notify your Block Captain so he or she could come introduce themselves to you. We would also be happy to answer any questions that you till have.
