Sandi Smith had some interesting ideas about the proposed by-laws changes. Does anyone out there want to get into a discussion here about them? I thought I'd just open the topic. I've got some ideas but I do not have the time right now.

City's comments on proposed chan
Along with trying to get a dialogue going with the members of this association, I sent my comments to the Community Development Dept. Their comments are one of caution for the future of our association if indeed we want to build membership and leadership. All by-laws changes will have to be reviewed by the Neighborhood Revitalization Board and the City Council. It was recommended that if there is strong reaction to proposed changes that the membership have time to discuss but not act at the same meeting. It gives the membership the opportunity to discuss and think over the proposed amendments. If you care about the good of the entire neighborhood, I ask that you take the time to read the proposed by-laws changes to process where this ship is being guided. Email me if you would like to see the insightful comments from Jason Van Essen, Neighborhood Planner, Community development Dept. |
