San Antonio Creekside Association, Inc.

heads up

Posted in: San Antonio Creekside
I always pay my dues on time, and I keep my home and property up to community standards, just like most of the good people in this subdivision. I am a teacher in a special classroom for students with emotional and behavioral problems; I work a lot of overtime, for which I don't get paid, but I love my work. I've always thought this was enough: to be hardworking, and to take pride in owning your home and raising decent human beings; but I may be wrong. I don't like to gripe, and prefer to keep to myself, but things are happening in this community, and I guess I'll need to give what little extra time I have to get a little more involved, such as attending the board meetings. What kicked my butt into deciding this? Somebody slashed two tires on my niece's car last night. It's probably no coincidence that somebody was partying pretty loudly down the street (beer cans and bottles littered the asphalt next morning). I've got news for the cowardly hyena(s) who perpetrated their little bit of retardation last night: You don't impress me one bit. Show yourself in the daylight sometime; let's have us a little talk.
Neighbors, heads up. Things are happening around us, and I'm willing to fight if you are.
To the editor of the community newsletter: Maybe we should go back to publishing a monthly list of police reports filed in this subdivision, just to give more of our neighbors a little wakeup call.
