Foreclosures

Foreclosures

Some interesting points have been made on this subject and I would like to add my own ''two cents'' if I may. It's a tragedy to see someone lose their home for any reason. However, we all know what is expected of us as responsible home owners.

Should we simply turn our backs and let infractions continue to occur? Where does it end and what is to be overlooked and what is to be enforced?

The value of my home is not as important as the quality of my community. I too have seen low income areas that are ''eye sores''. But I have also seen low income areas that are quite impressive.

Respect for yourself and others determines the outcome of a community, not social status or income. Creekside is a fairly new neighborhood and already we see the results of the lack of action by members.

There are 1200 homes and less than 40 people showed up to the last board meeting. Our basketball court area is continuely being vandalized. Children play in the streets unattended. There are countless violations to the community ''laws''. All this stems from the lack of respect we show for ourselves and others.

I don't know the answers but I'm willing to work with my Creekside neighbors to discuss the issues. The next board meeting is scheduled for July 12 at 7pm. Will you be there or will you sit by and watch while others work to build this community.
