I AM FROM A RURAL COMMUNITYOF COURSE LOCATED IN BEXAR COUNTY. I MOVED HERE BECAUSE I LIKED THE LOCATION AND I THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE. WHERE I AM FROM YOU HELPED EACH OTHER WHEN YOUR NEIGHBOR WAS IN NEED.AND NO I HAVENT ATTENDED THE MEETINGS BUT I INTEND TO MAKE THE MEETING THIS MONTH AND SEE WHO I LIVE AROUND AND IT WILL HELP ME TO DECIDE IF I WILL ATTEND ANY MORE. I CANT BELIEVE THE THINGS THAT PEOPLE WORRY ABOUT AND IT SEEMS THAT ITS ALWAYS THE SAME FOUR OR FIVE PEOPLE THAT COMPLAIN. IM SURE GLAD U DONT LIVE NEXT TO ME.WE WOULDNT GET ALONG VERY WELL. OH BY THE WAY I AM INDEED PAID ON MY ASSESSMENTS, MY YARD IS IMMACULATE AND I PUT MY TRASH CANS UP TOO. I DO BELIEVE IN BEAUTY OF A NEIGHBORHOOD. SO I MIGHT FIT YOUR CRITERIA YOU NEED FOR YOUR SATISIFACTION. VOLUNTEER???? I HAVENT HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO ATTEND A MEETING YET.(REASON) I WORK NIGHTS. BUT IM TAKING OFF THIS NEXT MEETING TO ATTEND. YES I MAY VOLUNTEER BUT IF I SEE THE PEOPLE I THINK IM GOING TO MEET IM NOT SURE IF I REALLY WANT TO ASSOCIATE WITH YOU. I REFUSE TO BE A MISERABLE PERSON.

It seems to me as if you are complaining just like the rest of us, yet you want to hold yourself above the rest claiming it's a terrible thing to complain about the state of the neigborhood. You're complaining about the complaining! LOL Chances are, the folks who live next to you aren't complaining, you seem like you have ''it'' together. For some of us, that's not the case. Some of us have to live next to folks who don't keep their yards up, who don't pay their dues and just generally don't care. WOuldn't you be upset if you had a rodent problem because the person next door couldn't mow his lawn once or twice a year? I'll be at the meeting as well,not to ''scope out fellow residents'', but to hopefully do something to keep this neighborhood from falling apart. You're perfectly happy where you are, GREAT, but some aren't and this is the forum to get things out in the open. Looking forward to meeting you. (By the way, I can't see that its only four or five people complaining) What is the whole point of your writing that letter? To try and show how much of a perfect neighbor you are? Or was it to try and make others feel ashamed that they are ''daring'' to complain about something that is ,maybe, trivial to you, but not to them?

EVERYTIME SOMEONE WRITES A COLUMN HERE THERE IS SOMEONE THAT WILL ALWAYS WRITE BACK TELLING THAT PERSON OFF...SEE WHAT I TOLD U IN THE ORIGIONAL LETTER I CANT BELIEVE THIS PLACE........THATS WHY SOME OF THE PEOPLE IN THIS NEIGHBORHOOD DONT GET ALONG WITH THEIR NEIGHBORS BECAUSE OF THINGS LIKE THIS...THE REASON I WROTE THE ORIGIONAL LETTER WAS TO EXPOSE THESE PEOPLE...AND YES IT IS THE SAME 4 OR FIVE PEOPLE THAT ARE ALWAYS COMPLAINING...AND YES I AM THE NEIGHBOR THAT MOST WOULD LIKE BY..MY NEIGHBORS ARE WONDERFUL PEOPLE..BUT IF ONE CRAPPED ON ME OF COURSE I WOULD BECOME A SOB ....SO TAKE A HARD LOOK AT YOURSELF...CRAPPED ON ANYONE LATELY???????????????????????/

Okay, first, I haven't crapped on anyone, as you so charminly put it. I am an extremely quiet neighbor who goes to great lengths not to disturb or offend anyone around me. I have been treatly badly on one or two occasions by a particular person, but I know how to just let it go.
Unless you know all these anonymous letter writers personally, I still do not see that it is only 4 or five people. Soo, maybe you do know everyone on here, who knows? The only other comment I would like to make is this. Not once have I ever seen anyone on this message board ''tell someone off''. I'd be very curious to know which of these posts you find that inflammatory. Sure, there are some differences of opinions, but I see only debates on some subjects by adults to don't appear to take any of this personally. I would never ever put someone down for their opinions, and I would hope for the same respect in return. I guess it all boils down to this, why does it bother you so much that others are writing about their problems? There are also some great messages in here, encouraging ones. If you don't like the complainers, don't read the posts, it's that simple. Have a good one!
