Clock Tower

Clocktower costs

If homeowners will be asked to pay assessments to cover the cost of restoring utility, I would like to see the estimated amount and to have that initiative put to a homeowner vote. Would that be a budgeted expense? I suppose that a majority vote against restoring utility leads to the question of what to do with a clocktower that doesn't work.

Your parting shot: Absolutely! If the clocktower was gone tomorrow, would its absence diminish VOW in any way? More importantly, would it detract from our property values? A ''yes'' answer to either questions tells me that there is something fundamentally wrong with the Villages of Westcreek.
Clock Tower

I have lived here since August of this year and several people have told me we have spent alot of money on the clock tower. My question is if we have spent all this money (thousands I was told) why in the world does it still not work. Someone needs to take resposiblity for what is happening and do something. We are not defined but a community by this tower but if our money is being spent on such projects I think we should demand completion. Don't you?

Let homeowners vote - ha ha ha

Do you really think the Board would allow homeowners to vote on such an initiative? They have such freedom to spend our money on almost anything, as long as its legal. We were probably lucky to have had a vote on the street lights a while back...only because it was something that would have required both a raise in annual assessments and a special one time charge (over $100 as I recall).

What happens with all the money collected here:
3000 homes x $257 = $771,000 annually
Not to mention fees collected for using the community center (that we all paid for), fees generated at the quarterly rummage sales, fees to let the kids see Santa, fees to rent out the pavilion.... This is at or near a million dollar a year organization!

I miss my clock tower

I would miss it. I really liked it when it worked. I hope we get it working soon.
