Stop Signs-Neighborhood safety

Stop signs

Even though the stop signs may not have been issued by the state the Transportation Code covers all property (i.e. private and public). If the signs were not issued by the state they do fall under the statute of reasonable and standard traffic signage used on many private properties.
Stop signs

Bottom line: Individuals can be ticketed and fined for running the stop signs and speeding in a gated neighborhood. Is this correct, anonymous?

If a law enforcement officer was posted at the new stop signs, he/she could issue many citations.

By anonymous, too
Stop signs

That is correct. Our property falls under the jurisprudence of SAPD and the Sheriff's Dept. (I am sure there are other law enforcement departments I did not mention). Again, the fact that we live on ''private property'' does not give an individual the right to commit illegal activities.
so going back to what i.......

said, the signs are window dressing and at the very most, a simple reminder to stop. they are unenforceable because there is no way any kind of law enforcement (pd, bcso, e tc) will sit and wait at any of the signsand issue tickets. the community is a soft crime area and does not justify having **nothing** more than a casual drive-by by pd.

therefore, the signs are unenforceable. if there is an incident or accident event, a report will most likely be made......after the fact. how meaningful is that to an injured person?
blah, blah, blah.......then the most that can happen after that is 'i'll see you in court....civil court.

anyone have a looksee at the letter FOR the annexaion?
