Hi, I was pretty excited about this when I first saw it. Thought, ''What a wonderful tool for the neighborhood!'' But so far I haven't seen a single soul here posting any messages or taking advantage of the free classified section. That really amazes me. FREE classifieds are a nice thing! And yard sales... I see yard sales happening in the neighborhood, always too late of course for the good stuff, but they could be advertised here, for free. Services, items for sale, homes for sale, etc. etc...

I saw a hand-written sign advertising a found dog, no picture, little info, so I looked here when I got home hoping to see more information. Thinking if it was the right kind of dog, and nobody claimed it, I might want it. But nada, not a single thing under any of the classified fields, much less pets.

Also new neighbors (and long timers) can put up a family page here and introduce themselves. That's a nice thing!

I'm just puzzled by the whole lack of interest in this.

Maybe the newsletter could not print the ''same ol, same ol'' that makes everyone chuck it in the trash and put some EMPHASIS on the fact that THIS is here?
