Repair and resurfacing of Redland Road is on the city bond election. I've worked on this issue for almost three years. This is our best chance to see something of a permanent nature done. It could take us years before we have another chance for repair of the road.

There are five (5) propositions on the city bond election. Redland Road is included in proposition 1. There will be NO NEW TAXES if this bond issue is passed. The city renegotiated interest rates on outstanding bonds to free additional money for projects.

The election is November 4,2003. Early voting is October 20th -October 31st. The closest early voting sites to us are Driscoll Middle School or Reagan High School. Redland Woods is still in a county precinct. Voting on election day for us is up Highway 281 at the Bulverde Methodist Church.

If we want Redland Road fixed, we need to get out the vote. Inform all your friends and neighbors of this issue which is impotant to us and urge them to vote for Proposition 1 on the city bond election.

Now the Waiting Begins

The bond issue passed. This means work on Redland Road could start as early as 2004. There is an oversight committee established to oversee this bond issue. I'll keep the community informed on the timetable as information becomes available.
I know we won't like the inconvenience once work starts, but in the end we'll have our problems with the road corrected. Thanks to all of you who got out and voted for this proposition.

I voted for the Bonds

I was one of the few that voted that day. You made it sound like the Road will be fixed soon after the election. I will be going on a year now and NO PROGRESS.

You seemed to link(use) this to your HOA election bid. I appreciate the hours of work you did, however I still see many large potholes after rains.

Please put in more hours so we can get a decent Redland Road.
