Mud Creek Park

Posted in: Redland Woods
The follwoing paragraph was not printed in the December,2003 newsletter. It was the second paragraph in the article. ''The story of how this park came into existence is of interest to Redland Woods since we have a great deal of KB owned land within our subdivision. Most of this land was previously owned by KB. It has a SARA easement on it. The subdivisions bordering it petitioned KB to give the land to the city a few years ago. They requested this change so that the San Antonio Police could monitor the area. Residents who bordered the park were experincing robberies and there was significant gang activity in what is now the park area. Since the land was privately held, the residents of the subdivision and the police were limited in what actions they could take in that area. By turning this land into public property the residents of the area made this area safer for themselves and others.''
