Protect water, too

Many citizens gathered to petition our city government to save our aquifer, getting more than 107,000 valid signatures.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt said, ''Let us never forget that government is ourselves and not an alien power over us.''

This is why I am compelled to continue this struggle to protect our rights to petition and vote.

Remember, water is our most precious resource, and it deserves protection, too. Let us vote in May to save our aquifer.
