If you live on Ruidosa Downs, try the mailboxes.

I came home from work Thursday to find my front yard filled with empty bins and trash--bottles, cans, you name it. After stacking the trash and bins back in the street and leaving for the weekend, I returned home Sunday to find the bins and more trash in my yard.

The mailboxes seem like a nice common area to store bins that nobody claims.
Recycling Tip

I left one next to a tree in my front yard--fortunately, the owner claimed it later that same evening. Appreciate that!

Within the same topic of recycling, I would add a tip to help keep our neighborhoods cleaner if those putting out recycling bins would place heavier recyclables, like glass bottles, on top of newspapers and other light weight recyclables. On windy recycling days, I see papers, cans, etc blowing down the street--most ending up in one neighbor's front yard.
